Director, producer, performer and social experiment professional Daniel embarked on the journey of film with mind and eyes wide open, eager to learn and intention of combining image and sound through the art and talent for a variety of reasons including awareness, emotional awakening and the application of new skills. Daniel went on to found Steep Slopes Media which become an award winning production outfit.

In 2009 Steep Slopes Media was approached to join Inrichmint as an independent associated film production company will become involved with further music videos for our record label. Steep Slopes Media and Daniel are to work on a documentary around the Kilimanjaro 4 Kids initiative along with extreme sports & fashion photographer Dino Lloyd and together with additional crew from around the world. Canadian based Daniel Sidorowicz is a Polish Born director and the founder of Steep Slopes Media, has produced and directed some of the most amazing short films that have come to win international awards and win the attentions of many around the world. Here is some information on his career as an artist living Toronto. After high school Daniel decided to take time off and in that time he was given the greatest of opportunities in his life working as an entertainer/social experiments artist at night clubs in Toronto, one being Circa. Working under the influence of New York club legend Peter Gatien and the owner of Circa Toronto, from directing performances with up to 20 actors to creating large visual multi media installations as well as painting portraits of elite club goers. Many of these performances took place while world class musicians such as Tiesto took the stage.
Daniel directed and documented his performances and lifestyle using digital video media creating a short silent film reality series. Daniel then had them screened in clubs and got noticed by Paul Kwitek of Existence music group and then he was contracted to do a set of music videos for his new album Qualia, working with Existence from the end of 2008 through to present day. All Daniels videos released for Existence Music were played internationally on several music channels including MTV. Paul Kwitek’s Katun music video that Daniel directed, produced and starred in was screened in the Rainbow Cinema at the World Wide Community Film Festival in September 2009. Katun was also screened at the Empire Lounge and at music and charity club event in South Africa hosted by Inrichmint a global electronic music solutions company.
Prior to this he worked for Vision TV on a series of animated portrait montages and paintings of a TV show host and in 2008 he did a motivational speech at Monsignor Frasers Collage based on his work as a visual artist from 1995 to 2007, an entertainer and filmmaker while more recently Daniel finished a couple of chorus for L.I.F.T, Liaison of Independent Filmmakers of Toronto – Avante Garde film remake with voice-over acting. Daniels short film ”Steep Slopes Story of Thirst’ got huge attention in 2009. The film was nominated for the top 25 at the Toronto Student Film Festival, with international submissions. The firm also screened at an Improvisational Intermedia Cabaret Programme at the historic Toronto landmark St. George’s Hall, at The Arts & Letters Club of Toronto. In 2009 Daniel was still painting and took this on as one of his entertainer characters he developed in 2007 is an artist simply named ”Painter”. He worked on a series of portraits including many of his own and then Daniel had several of these works displayed at Oswald Sales Gallery in December 08 while Painter soon became a huge character in Daniels short films. In 2009 Daniel and Steep Slopes media submitted a short film called Our Toronto – Nuit Blanche at the Toronto Urban Film Festival, the film was nominated and won first place at the festival. Our Toronto and Katun was screened at the film fest after party hosted by world famous hair stylist Jie Matar. Our Toronto – Nuit Blanche was screened at The Drake underground, the UFF award winning video has made serious waves putting both Daniel Sidorowicz and Steep Slopes Media on the map.
